What's the Big Idea? Forming Hypotheses
When we're very young, we all go through that stage of asking our parents "Why?" about everything. It is the 'why' that gets us to answers in life, and in scientific study. Many amazing discoveries began with, "Why?" The hypothesis is the backbone of scientific method. Readers learn how to form a hypothesis and then narrow it down through research. Then they learn how to prove or disprove the new hypothesis through testing.
