We're All Americans
We're All Americans is aligned to the Common Core State Standards for English/Language Arts, addressing Literacy.RI.1.6 and Literacy.L.1.5. Large color photographs of children and adults from various backgrounds and ethnicities engaging in both traditional "American" activities as well as specific ethnic and religious traditions—along with descriptive text—demonstrate the American ideal of a "melting-pot." Young readers learn that the diversity of American citizens is what makes the country so very unique and special. This book should be paired with “The Many People of America" (9781448888665) from the Rosen Common Core Readers Program to provide the alternative point of view on the same topic.
