Animal Emotions
An engaging, informative series that describes the
emotions that popular, beloved animals experience, emotions that will be
familiar to and shared by readers. Opening with a specific narrative about an
animal expressing a certain “readable” emotion, each book will discuss in simple
terms the science behind each emotion, including its particular expression, its
physical manifestation, its neurochemical basis or process, its adaptive purpose
on individual and collective/social levels, other commonly recognized emotional
expressions associated with the animal in question, and how these emotions may
compare with similar human emotions.
