Extremism

Editor Laurie Willis helps readers to examine religious extremism and its impact on world events. She has compiled several viewpoint essays that provide readers with facts, but also opinions. By reading more than one intelligent viewpoint on each topic, readers will activate their critical thinking skills. Readers will evaluate Islamic extremism and its relation to terrorism, and take a look at religious extremism in the United States. They will explore how it can be countered and prevented. Essay sources include Samir Khalil Samir, Fareed Zakaria, Azeem Ibrahim, Carol Sarler, and Neil J. Kressel.
