The European Union

Introduce readers to the controversies and details of the European Union, whose purpose is to promote greater social, political, and economic harmony among the nations of Western Europe. Essays are provided in a pro versus con format across several issues. Within four chapters, readers will evaluate what the E.U. members want for themselves, what countries should be members, whether the E.U. is succeeding globally, and what it should do about its diverse nationalities and languages. Essay sources include The Economist, European Commission, and Investor's Business Daily.
