Core Math Skills (Grades 3 – 6)
Through real-world context, focused on the Common Core Math Standards, readers will see that math is truly everywhere. Students will explore the properties of operations, base-ten, adding and subtracting fractions, finding area and perimeter, and more through adventures at the amusement park, on the playground, in the kitchen, and elsewhere. Different strategies for solving problems are presented. Students will integrate concepts and be challenged to solve problems on their own as well.
