Animal Architects

People study for many years to become architects so they can design buildings, structures, and homes. Animal architects may not be building skyscrapers, but their unique dwelling designs are no less amazing. Students can explore paper wasp nests, rich and colorful coral reefs, and the extensive network of tunnels in a prairie dog town. Special, focused information about their homes, why they build them, and special adaptations they have to help them build dwellings is also shared. • Unique approach to animal behavior and habitats • Aligns with NSTA science standards • Great for guided or independent reading
