Curious Cats

Pet Corner

Fans of the domestic feline pay a visit to pet corner, where they learn all about caring for the mysteriously independent but lovable cat. Young readers learn what cats eat, how they play, and how they’re taken care of when sick. They’re shown that even though cats are afraid of the water, they still have an inventive way to keep supremely clean. A picture glossary helps cement understanding of new words.

Book Review: Curious Cats This book gives a great inside look into the life of a cat. Not only does it tell you what cats do, but why they do it. The real life pictures are very informative. Kathryn Knight, Teacher at Montclaire Elementary School

Book review: Curious Cats

The full page photographs and the simple text make this a great book for the young reader. Using the same format throughout the book, picture on the right and text on the left, makes the book easy to follow and understand. Since this book is designed for the younger reader, the picture glossary with an arrow pointing to the words makes it very simple to understand. I also liked that there was a simple index that would be of use to introduce this concept to the individual new to nonfiction books.
